English version
I’ve had an RC model of a Land Cruiser 40 pickup for a long time, and I used to play with it together with my son, thinking, “What a cool vehicle this is.”
Of course, I had never seen the real thing in person—until today, when I happened to stumble upon one on display at a used car dealership in Bangkok.
There was no price tag, and no staff in sight, but the doors were unlocked, so I took my time and had a good look around.
There were a few small rust spots here and there, but the paint—maybe original?—looked great, and the suspension seemed well maintained.
The odometer had clearly been reset, so the mileage is a mystery, but the seats were in good shape, and to my untrained eye, the overall condition looked surprisingly decent.
I always thought it’d be nice to become the kind of grown-up who could own a car like this and happily pour endless money into keeping it running.
